Belonging & Becoming Fellowship
This fellowship is a 2-year program for Black and Brown girls in their sophomore or junior year of high school. Through a comprehensive skill-building curriculum, fellows develop essential social awareness, fostering confidence and self-efficacy. They explore the intersections of identity, power, privilege, and oppression, examining how their surroundings shape their beliefs and values. Topics include racism, classism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia and their impacts, alongside discussions on movements like Black Lives Matter. Additionally, fellows gain insights into life after high school: college options, scholarships, mental health, budgeting, and building healthy relationships.
