Amplify LatinX recognizes Ivanna Solano

Ivanna Solano, the Founder and CEO of our organization, was honored as one of the ALX100 Amplifiers by Amplify LatinX. This prestigious recognition was announced during the inaugural ALX100 award reception, held in celebration of 2023 Hispanic Heritage Month at the Boston Public Library. The ALX100 Amplifiers represent a diverse array of leaders from various sectors who inspire and uplift the Latinx community, embodying courage, resilience, and advocacy.

As a Black Latina, educator, and social entrepreneur, Ivanna is a beacon of hope for underrepresented girls seeking empowerment and change. Her journey, from emigrating from the Dominican Republic at a young age to overcoming the challenges of adapting to a new educational system as an English language learner, is a testament to her courage and tenacity. Armed with a BA in Justice and Law from American University and a Masters in Education from Boston University, Ivanna's vision extends far beyond the classroom. She is committed to disrupting and dismantling systems that marginalize Black and Brown girls, advocating for justice and equity at every turn.
