Syriana reflects on her powerful journey through the Belonging and Becoming Fellowship, a space where she felt seen, held, and deeply transformed. Her reflections are a reminder of what’s possible when our girls are poured into with love, intention, and community.
The Belonging and Becoming Fellowship is a leadership program for girls in their Sophomore or Junior year in high school, rooted in identity, healing, and liberation. Grounded in social justice, ancestral wisdom, and radical self-love, this program supports Fellows as they explore their identities, challenge oppressive systems, nurture their well-being, and build the collective power needed to advance the work of liberation in their communities.

Our Modules
Throughout the program, Fellows will engage in the following modules:

In this module, Fellows cultivate authentic community and deepen self-awareness by unpacking personal and societal narratives to define their identities on their own terms. They will practice self-love through setting boundaries and reclaiming their stories.

Fellows will challenge internalized oppression and recognize the structural systems that harm Black and Brown girls, connect with ancestral wisdom, and envision consistent, liberatory actions.

Fellows will explore all aspects of the Wellness Wheel through reflection and skill development, building their capacity to cultivate authentic relationships, practice consent with confidence, establish emotional boundaries, strengthen their financial wellness, and design personalized self-care practices that nurture their overall well-being.

Rooted in care and intentional leadership, fellows will respond to community needs by designing and launching advocacy projects. Together, they will celebrate the transformative power that comes from collective healing and action.
