The Love Your Magic Belonging and Becoming Fellowship is a comprehensive skill-building curriculum, where fellows develop essential social awareness, fostering confidence and self-efficacy. Fellows also gain access to educational experiences that foster cultural exchange.

Girls who will be rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors in high school (i.e., entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in the upcoming school year) are eligible to apply for the fellowship.

s a fellow, you will gain the confidence and tools to better understand yourself and your community. You’ll build essential skills in social awareness, self-efficacy, and leadership, while exploring the intersections of race, gender, and class. Through workshops and cultural experiences, you’ll engage with topics like colorism, beauty standards, cultural appropriation, and political and social exclusion. You’ll also connect with other Black and Brown girls in a supportive community, deepen your understanding of diverse Black cultural perspectives, and commit to ongoing efforts for racial and gender equity.

The Fellowship is a long-term commitment that supports you through your senior year of high school. Once accepted, you remain a fellow through your senior year, continuing to build skills, deepen your learning, and stay connected to the Love Your Magic community.

There is no cost associated with the program.

Yes, you can absolutely apply if you're involved in other programs or extracurricular activities. We understand that you may have multiple commitments, but we do expect fellows to make this program a priority. Attendance at our sessions and events is required, and we ask that you communicate in advance if any conflicts come up. We’re here to support you, but your full participation is key to getting the most out of the Fellowship experience.
